The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving an Amish buggy. The patrol says, just after 4pm Wednesday, the crash occurred on US 62 near milepost 3, in Sugar Creek Township, in Stark County. The state patrol says, a semi-truck struck the horse and buggy, causing serious injury to the buggy driver Eli Troyer, of Beach City. Troyer was transported to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. The horse pulling the buggy was dead at the scene.
