Scam alert

Multiple police departments in NE Ohio shared they are receiving reports of scam calls where scammers are impersonating officers.  A scam call is going around where the caller is impersonating an officer stating the person they are calling missed jury duty.  Also, the person goes on to state, “there is a warrant out for your arrest”, but can be cleared up if you give them money.  The scam caller then tries to talk you into giving them a form of payment with bank information or gift cards.  These departments want to remind those to be aware of the calls, to never give out personal information and to hang up immediately.
