The Akron Public Schools has sworn in its newest board members after a very turbulent year. Last April, Akron’s former superintendent, Dr. Michael Robinson resigned following an investigation into a hostile work environment. The school board then appointed Mary Outley to the role without a formal search. Last night, newly elected members Nathan Jerose, Kamiah Kelley, and Bill Montgomery took the oath of office., along with returning member , Gregory Harrison. Each will serve a 2 year term.
