Woman found dead in the snow

A woman was found dead in the snow on an Elyria tree lawn Saturday night after being hit by a vehicle.  The driver who hit the women thought that he had hit a deer.  The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her name has not yet been released.  No charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle at this time.  Police said that alcohol and drugs are not suspected as contributing factors in the crash.
