Man sentenced for shotgun robbery

A 19 year old Portage County man, Jeffrey Dolan has been sentenced to 4 to 6 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery stemming from the use of a shotgun during a robbery in Kent.  On December 10th 2025, Dolan admitted to using the shotgun to rob a man outside an apartment building.  Dolan’s co-defendant, Bryce Boylen, previously pled guilty in connection with the incident and was sentenced to 4 to 5 and a half years in prison.
