Police say 2 people are dead following what appears to be a murder-suicide at the Orrville power plant Thursday afternoon. In a statement released last night, authorities say the fatal shooting occurred in the plant’s parking lot on Perry Street. Officials claim the suspect, identified as Robert Simon, approached the 46 year old male and shot him before turning the gun on himself. Simon was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital, but he too died from his injuries. His name has not been released, but he was an employee at the plant.
