Barberton police say one of their officers was hit with a hammer. The officer was responding to a domestic violence call between a father and his son, when the officer forced his way into the son’s room. 34 year old Jacob Culberson allegedly hit the officer in the head with a hammer. The officer was treated at a local hospital for a head wound. Culberson faces several charges including felonious assault and resisting arrest.
