A Canton man will spend 4 years in prison for charges connected to the abduction that trigged a statewide alert. Jamie Triplett appeared in court yesterday. The case happened in September. A man had claimed Triplett had taken a woman against her will from the Roadway Inn. Triplett was not convicted on the abduction charge, but was found guilty on 4 other counts including aggravated menacing. Court records show Triplett was on probation at the time of the incident after a 2012 rape and kidnapping conviction.
