KSU student with bacterial infection

A student at Kent State University who had been diagnosed with a serious bacterial infection in the bloodstream is still in the hospital but continues to recover, according to Kent State officials.  University officials were told Sunday night by the Kent State Health Department that the student, who had been residing at Lake Hall on KSU’s main campus, had been transported to a local hospital.  Health officials say this bacteria can cause meningitis or an infection in the bloodstream.
