One of the 9 DTW Akron gang members arrested last week has been charged with a 2025 homicide. Detectives identified 24 year old Ronald Jones aka “Ron Don” as the suspect in a shooting that occurred on April 13, 2025, at a bar in the 1300 block of Brittain Road. On scene, officers found 35 year old Aharon Pittman Sr, who was shot several times and pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators determined that an altercation occurred inside the bar before a male suspect fired multiple shots and then fled on foot. Ronald Jones has been charged with murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and weapons under disability.
