A 51 year old Stark County woman died after being hit by an SUV while she was walking on State Route 93 around 9:45pm last Thursday. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said it is investigating the crash that killed Joyanne Wigington, while she was walking in the middle of the southbound lane near the 2600 block of Manchester SW in Tuscarawas Township. She was hit by a southbound SUV driven by a 52 year old woman from East Sparta. Wigington was taken to the hospital where she died. An investigation is ongoing.
