After a child was left on a local school bus earlier this month, the bus driver was fired, according to the school district. In a letter to school families, Copley-Fairlawn Schools Superintendent Aimee Kirsch said that an elementary school student fell asleep on the bus, who is required by state law to check the entire bus for any student left behind, did not do the safety check and missed the child. The district did not offer details on how the child was found.
