Child killed, 5 others injured in fire

A 23 month old girl was killed and 5 others injured, including 2 Stark County Sheriff’s deputies, in a house fire Tuesday night.  The child, Havannah Collins-Cody, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.  Authorities were called to the home in the 3400 block of Easton Street NE around 9:20pm.  During a 911 call, it was reported that the child was trapped inside, the Sheriff’s Office reported.  3 other family members and 2 sheriff’s deputies were treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.  Supporters have launched a GoFundMe fundraiser on behalf of the family.
