a suspect is in custody after a shooting that left 2 people dead on Saturday night.  Just after 8pm. officers responded to a shooting near 30 W. Wilbeth near Firestone Stadium.  The suspect, 28 year old Brandon Casto, turned himself into a sheriff’s office in the southeast part of the state near the West Virginia border.  He faces charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault.  In a press release Sunday, Akron police said officers were called to the area on West Wilbeth Road after multiple 911 calls about a shooting, including from a 49 year old woman who said she fled the scene after being shot by the suspect.  Officers on the scene found a vehicle that had crashed into a tree on Hemlock Street just south of Wilbeth and was partially on fire.  Inside that vehicle  officers found a 12 year boy, Jericho Mangual, shot.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  A 47 year old woman, the boy’s mother, Tania Mangual, was also shot, rushed to the hospital where she died.  A 2 year old boy, also her son, was inside the vehicle.  He was not injured.  Detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment, connected to the suspect.  During their search, detectives recovered multiple firearms, firearms, firearm accessories, and a huge collection of ammunition.
