1 dead in shed fire

A man is dead after a shed fire Canton on Thursday.  Around 5:20pm, the fire department responded to the 2600 block of Kirby Avenue NE, after calls of a shed fire in the backyard.  When fire crews arrived, they found light smoke coming from the 10 foot by 12 foot shed.  Inside they found a man who was unconscious and sought to revive him with CPR but were not successful.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  The man’s name has not yet been released. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
