Former WNIR talk show host and television meteorologist Carey Coleman beat 4 other Republicans in the Republican Primary for Ohio’s 13th Congressional District last night. Coleman finished with over 47 percent of the vote, with the closest of his 4 competitors getting just 18 percent. Coleman joined the race because he wants to improve public safety, and border security, also protect constitutional rights. Coleman wants to work on keeping taxes under control for working families. He will face incumbent Democrat Emilia Sykes, who ran unopposed, in the November general election. The 13th District covers all of Summit County, a part of northwestern Stark County, and the Kent area in Portage County.
