The Medina County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-motorcycle crash early Tuesday morning. According to a release from the sheriff’s office, the report came in at 1:31am on State Route 252, or Columbia Road, near Boston Road in Liverpool Township. The crash involved a 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 41-year-old James Hennis. Deputies said preliminary investigation indicates Hennis was driving southbound when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree stump and overturned into a wooded area. Hennis was taken to the hospital, but was later pronounced dead . Alcohol is a suspected contributing factor in the crash, the sheriff’s office said.
