The family of an Akron teen killed in a shooting at a Bath Township party is suing the property owner, party organizers, Airbnb, and the 3 suspects charged in the case. The lawsuit was filed by the family of 18 year old Elijiah Wells, who died days after the November shooting. The family’s attorney says the party was advertised online as a mansion party with free food and alcohol, drawing hundreds of people to the Bath Township home. The lawsuit claimed the home was used as a short-term rental despite the township’s rules prohibiting those types of rentals. the 3 suspects in the case are scheduled to go on trial next year.
