A 3 year old child was taken to the hospital after Wadsworth Police say the child was struck by a vehicle during the city’s Blue Tip Festival Parade Tuesday evening. Officials say the collision occurred on Broad Street near Auble Street around 6:40pm, where the child was watching the parade from the tree lawn. Wadsworth Police say in a press release, the vehicle, a modified ride-on mini car, left the roadway after the operator lost control while performing a stunt and struck the child, who was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
