The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred around 8:30pm last ight on Battlesburg Road west of Maplehurst Avenue in East Sparta, in Stark County. The patrol says, a motorcycle driven by 36 year old Donald Baughman, heading eastbound on Battlesburg , when he tried to negotiate a curve and traveled off the side of the roadway and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol says he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
