Akron will extend the hours at Summit Lake Community Center today, to provide a cooling center for residents in need. The center is located at 380 W. Crosier Street and will open from 9am to 9pm. all other City of Akron community centers will be open during their regular business hours. The city will continue to monitor temperatures and will extend community center hours as necessary.
