Summit County Clerk of Courts Tavia Galonski is warning the public about a recent jury scam affecting residents. According to a news release, the victim and the scammer engaged in a lengthy conversation and tried to convince them that a gag order was in place that would prevent the victim from speaking to anyone about the calls. The victim is told to send money via cash App to clear the alleged missed jury summons. A reminder: If you receive one of these calls to immediately to hang up and do not share any personal information or send money.
