stow Fire Chief Mark stone announced that he will retire in mid-September after 26 years with the city. He joined the city department in 2000, after spending 8 years with the City of Akron. Stone spent his career in multiple positions including EMT, paramedic, firefighter, captain, and then ultimately, fire chief. During his tenure as chief, he was responsible for personnel and created a focused professional environment. His last day will be September 18th.
