City of Akron is announcing a new drinking water rates for 2027 through 2029 to support replacement of aging water mains, repairs to treatment facilities and ongoing operation of the City’s water system.
Under the new rates, the a typical households monthly drinking water bill will increase from approximately $25 to $30 in 2027, $36 in 2028 and $42 in 2029. The first increase will take effect in January 2027 and will appear on February’s bill. Assistance is available for eligible households.
