No one injured in Akron house fire

A fire in the 600 block of Sherman Street in Akron resulted in extensive damage to a home, but fortunately no injuries were reported.  Akron Fire Department companies responded to a report of a residential fire at 652 Sherman street.  Heavy smoke reported in the area. arriving crews found heavy smoke and fire showing from the top of the 1.5 story residential structure, which was occupied at this time.  The cause and the origin of the fire is under investigation.
