Area FFA Chapters Up For National Awards

The National FFA Organization is releasing the list of chapters nationwide that are up for awards at their convention in October.

Mexico is a top 10 finalist in Premier Chapter: Strengthening Agriculture for their This OR That activity, Paris is a top 10 finalist in Premier Chapter: Growing Leaders category for their Flamingo Farming activity and Centralia is a top 10 finalist in Premier Chapter: Building Communities for their Needle in a Haystack activity.

To qualify for a national award, each chapter must complete at least 15 activities: one for each of the five quality standards in each of the three divisions.

Paris is also a Model of Excellence finalist, meaning they have exhibited exemplary qualities in all categories of growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture.

Centralia, Community R-6, Mexico, Montgomery County R-2, Paris, and Van-Far chapters are also 3-star recipients and Sturgeon received 2-star status.

The awards will be announced at the 94th Annual FFA Convention in Indianapolis October 27th through the 30th.
