A driver is accused of taking an Audrain County K9 unit on a vehicle pursuit last (Monday) night.
According to Audrain County Sheriff Matt Oller the K9 unit attempted to stop a vehicle in Laddonia on Highway 54 around 6pm.
Oller says a pursuit continued to wind through country roads and the driver eventually left his vehicle on Wade Street in Mexico near Plunkett Park.
The driver of the vehicle was able to escape and is still on the loose as of the time of this report.
Audrain County Sheriff’s Office say they know the identity of the driver.
