Fulton Man Arrested On Drug Related Charges After Vehicle And Foot Pursuit On The Fourth Of July

A Fulton man is in the Callaway County Jail following a vehicle pursuit last (Sunday) night.

According to the Fulton Police Department it happened just before 6:30 when officers tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.

The vehicle began to flee and swerved at an on oncoming police car attempting to hit it according to Fulton police.

The vehicle continued through several streets before stopping in the 200 block of West Second Street.

The suspect identified 48 year old Joseph Wilhite ran from the vehicle in front of a home, while running Wilhite is accused of throwing a bag containing suspected narcotics which were later recovered.

He is facing multiple charges and given a bond of twelve thousand dollars.
