James Addie Sentenced To Life Without Parole

A former Moberly prison guard will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

54-year old James Addie was sentenced by Cole County judge Jon Beetem today (Monday) to life without parole for first degree murder and ten years for armed criminal action.

Addie was convicted by a jury two months ago of killing his fiancee Molly Watson to hide his affair from his wife of 22 years.

MissouriNet News Director Brian Hauswirth says the sentencing today (Monday) was not without fireworks.

Watson and Addie had worked together at the prison in Moberly.
