Judge Issues Ruling On Second Amendment Preservation Act Lawsuit

Cole County Judge Daniel Green is denying an attempt to block Missouri’s Second Amendment preservation act passed by Missouri lawmakers earlier this year.

St. Louis City and County and Jackson County filed for an injunction to prevent the act from becoming law.

Green’s decision, he said, was justified by the fact that two lawsuits are already pending on the issue and he would not issue an injunction since the result of those lawsuits should be the remedy for the jurisdictions seeking an injunction.

The law passed in Missouri states that any federal gun law or act that infringes on Missourians’ right to keep and bear arms as allowed by the second amendment cannot be enforced by state law officers.
