The Mexico Bulldogs Baseball Team lost 7-5 to the Fulton Hornets on the road last (Friday) night.

The Bulldogs nearly made a comeback, however left the tying runs stranded on 2nd and 3rd to end the game.

Mexico is now 8-9 on the season.

Mizzou Football linebacker Nick Bolton was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the NFL Draft last (Friday) night.

Bolton’s selection marks the 17th consecutive season Mizzou has had a player selected in the NFL Draft dating back to 2003.

The Chiefs also selected Creed Humphrey from Oklahoma with the 63rd pick in the second round of the draft last night.

Humphrey was named the Big 12’s offensive lineman of the year for each of the last 2 seasons.

The St. Louis Cardinals picked up a 7-3 road win over the Pittsburgh Pirates last (Friday) night.

Matt Carpenter said you later to tater with a 3 run blast.

Nolan Arenado broke out of a slump at the plate, doubling in his first 2 at-bats.

St. Louis and Pittsburgh play game 2 of their 3 game series tonight with a 5:35 first pitch.

The Kansas City Royals lost 9-1 to the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.

Kansas City’s starting pitcher Brady Singer exited the game with a left heel contusion after a 105 mile per hour line drive hit him.

The X-rays came back negative.

The Royals and Twins play this afternoon at 1:10.
