Mizzou Football’s Nick Bolton is a Second-Team Academic All-American.

It was announced yesterday (Monday) by the College Sports Information Directors of American.

Bolton earned a 3.6 GPA as a sport management major and was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 26th pick in the second round and 58th overall selection of the 2021 NFL Draft.

New York Mets slugger Pete Alonso is this years Home Run Derby Champion.

Last night at Coors Field, Alonso became the third back-to-back Home Run Derby champion.

He defeated Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez, Washington Nationals star Juan Soto, and Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini over the course of 3 rounds.

Alonso recorded 74 home runs, totaling over 6.35 miles in distance.

He claimed a silver trophy, donned a bejeweled, spinning necklace and won one million dollars.

The 91st annual Major League Baseball All-Star Game will take place tonight (Tuesday) at Coors Field in Colorado.

St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado gets the start for the National League and will bat third in the lineup.
