The Mexico Bulldogs Football Team came out looking strong in the season opener defeating the Centralia Panthers on the road 49-20.

Columbia Battle a 36-35 winner over Fort Zumwalt North

Montgomery County 31 Herman 16

Francis Howell blanked Hickman 45-0

Rock Bridge lost to Staley 35-10

Osage over the Fulton Hornets 24-19

The Hallsville Indians picked up a road win against Palmyra 28-7

Hannibal dominated Helias 54-20

Chaminade winners over Jefferson City 34-20

Macon eeked out a 42-41 win over Kirksville

North Callaway shut down Louisiana 40-0

Mark Twain winners against South Callaway 34-12

Chillicothe 27 Marshall 8

Russellville 40 MMA 6.

Moberly loses to Sedalia 32-12

Monroe City defeats St. Pius Festus 42-14

Harrisburg wins over Paris 48-14

And Southern Boone loses Odessa 50-12.

The Mexico High School Bulldogs Softball Team went 0-1-1 at Fatima on opening night last (Friday) night.

The varsity girls lost 13-3 while jv tied 8-8. Jordan and Riley Thurman along with Kierstan Epperson each had 1 RBI.

Up next the Lady Bulldogs play their home opener at Gallop Field in Mexico on Tuesday against Marshall at 5pm.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 on the road. Paul Goldschmidt was a homerun short of hitting a cycle.

The Kansas City Royals picked an 8-7 win over the Seattle Mariners. It was the Royals second straight win over the Mariners.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Minnesota Vikings 28-25 last (Friday) night at Arrowhead Stadium.

It was the final preseason game for Kansas City.

The Chiefs open up the regular season against the Cleveland Browns on September 12th at Arrowhead.
