Payday Loan Robber Hits Hannibal

Another pay day loan robbery is being reported.

Hannibal Police say on Thursday morning just after 11:30 officers responded to a panic alarm at Check n’ Go at 120 Steamboat Bend.

Upon arrival officers contacted employees who reported a white man entered the business with a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was wearing a white shirt over a black hooded sweatshirt and fled the business on foot, however is believed to have left the area in a vehicle.

Since April similar payday loan robberies have taken place in Moberly, Mexico and Marshall.

Hannibal police say they have been in contact with other Missouri agencies who have reported similar events.
