While Boone County is leading Missouri in the number of residents who have received COVID-19 vaccinations some rural counties such as Audrain and Callaway are far behind.
Dr. Laura Morris the co-chair of the MU Health Care vaccination committee says there may be several causes.
Dr. Morris says the pause of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine impacted the number people wanting to get vaccinated.
MU Health Care has vaccine appointments to all Missourians age 16 older tomorrow (Saturday).
