So the Guardians front office had to fly to Houston to talk to the team and calm them down after the series of moves that were made in the days leading up to the trade deadline. Some of the players were not to happy that the team dealt Amed Rosario, Aaron Civale, and Josh Bell, with little help in return. Especially when, even though the team has struggled all season to stay near 500, is still with a few games of the Twins for the AL Central Division lead. The team is well known to have an owner, who doesn’t like to spend money and is always looking to cut costs, but this looks pretty bad to the casual observer. You wonder if there will ever be a year, where they will get players at the deadline and try to make a playoff run. My guess is that will never happen until the Dolans no longer own the team. That’s just the sad reality of what goes on with the Guardians.
