A fire at an Akron apartment Friday night left 6 people displaced, according to a news release from the Akron Fire Department. Authorities say firefighters responded to an apartment building in the 200 block of Lake Street around 645pm for a fire in one of the units. Crews were able to knock down the fire shortly after arriving, but had to chase it through the walls. No injuries to civilians or firefighters. The Red Cross is assisting the 6 displaced people. No cause of the fire has been given.
