An 18 year old Canton teen has been charged in connection to a fatal shooting of a 37 year old man last October. Savier Smiley has been charged with murder and felonious assault in connection to a shooting that claimed the life of 37 year old Dontae Crayton. Police say the shooting happened around 1030pm in the 1900 block of Maple Avenue. Officers found the man inside the home with a single gunshot wound to the chest. He later died at the hospital. Smiley has a pre-trial hearing set for January 3rd and a trial date has been set for January 16th.
