The Medina Highway Patrol Post is investigating a fatal traffic crash which occurred on State Route 18 in Medina Township in Medina County. The crash occurred at approximately 1130am yesterday, when a Kia traveling east attempted to turn left on to Victor Drive. A Yamaha motorcycle was traveling West on State Route 18 and struck the Kia. The driver of the motorcycle, 47 year old David Nalesnick, from Brunswick, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Kia, 84 year old Margaret Carey, of Medina, was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. State Route 18 westbound lanes in the area of the crash were closed for about 2 hours as a result of the crash. The driver of the bike was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
