A 26 year old man was shot and killed in Akron Monday afternoon and Akron Police are asking the public for information. Police were called to the 900 block of Bellevue Avenue just after 4pm on a report of a shooting. When police arrived on scene, they found the man on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown. Detectives later determined that multiple unknown males fled the scene on foot following the shooting. No other information is available at this time.
