A woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition Monday after police found her with several lacerations and injuries after the assault. Police were called to a home in the 700 block of Chalker Street just after 10am on a report of an assault. On scene, police found the 35 year old woman with several visible injuries and lacerations to her legs. she was semi-conscious when taken to the hospital. The victim’s name has not been released. Akron police believe the suspect wore a mask and dark clothing during the assault, and believe the assault is an isolated incident and possibly domestic.
