Nine people were displaced by a fire last night on East Ido Avenue in Akron. The fire broke out around 730pm in a two-story residential structure with heavy smoke and fire coming from the second floor. The fire crews initially made entry into the structure, but due to the heavy fire conditions, much of the fire was extinguished from the exterior of the structure. The Red Cross was notified for 2 adults and 7 children that were displaced by the fire.
