Akron police are investigating a shooting that left a 43 year old man dead early Wednesday morning. According to police, the shooting happened around 1245am in the 600 block of West Waterloo Road. When police arrived on the scene, they found the man with a gunshot wound to the chest near a wooded area several yards off the roadway. Officers provided the victim, who was conscious and breathing at the time, emergency first aid until EMS arrived. The victim, Bryan McNeil of Akron, was transported to Akron General Medical Center , where he was later pronounced dead. No arrest have been made.
