Akron police are investigating the shooting of a teenager, which occurred early Sunday morning. It happened around 1230am in the 1300 block of Andrus Street. On scene, police discovered a large gathering and multiple people fled the scene following the shooting. Police say the 18 year old was shot, transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. During a search of the scene, officers recovered numerous shell casings and found a nearby home that had been struck by bullets. No other injuries were reported. Detectives are working to determine who fired the the gunshots that injured the teen, as well as the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Any information, call police at 330-375-2490.
