Akron police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured. It happened around 220am on Sunday in the 800 block of Johnston Street. According to authorities, when officers arrived , they found a 32 year old man down on the ground who had been shot. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police say two 30 year old men also transported themselves to the hospital with non-life threatening gun shot wounds from the same incident. A preliminary investigation indicates the 3 men were standing outside an after-hours establishment when a car drove by, and someone inside opened fire on the men. After the shooting, multiple patrons fled the scene. police later recovered numerous pieces of evidence from the scene.
