A man has been arrested accused of shooting at a police officer just after midnight Saturday night. An East Canton police officer was making a traffic stop when he heard nearby gunfire. The officer saw a motorcycle speeding off and followed it. That’s when police say the motorcyclist fired 2 shots at the officer and missed. He then crashed his motorcycle and ran off. Canine officers found Edwin Irwin III of Canton. He has been booked into the Stark County Jail.
