An investigation is underway after an Akron man was struck and killed on I-77 in Lawrence Township in Tuscarawas County. The incident happened this past Sunday around 10am. The state highway patrol says a Volvo commercial vehicle was driving SB on I-77 when a 34 year old Akron man walked into the roadway in front of the vehicle. The man has been identified as Johnathan Mandala. Police say the driver of the vehicle was not cited or injured in the incident.
