So the Guardians are going to show us what they are made off as we start to quickly head to the end of the season. They made a couple of minor moves before the trade deadline, but probably needed to get more pitching help than they did. They still lead the division over the Royals and Twins, but the schedule in the month of August is pretty brutal. They still play the Dodgers and Brewers, who lead their divisions, the Yankees and Astros, who are both near the top of their division, and 8 games with the Twins and 7 with the Royals who are both chasing them in the division. If they can survive, without injury or their pitching staff tiring out, this could be a special postseason. Maybe they finally break the World Series streak this year. We can hope. We can also hope that it doesn’t go in the other direction and the wheels come off. One thing is for sure, it’s going to be an interesting final third of the season for the Guardians. Let’s hope more positive than negative.
