Storms rip through NE Ohio

Tuesday afternoon, heavy rain and high winds traveled across NE Ohio, leaving a wake of destruction and at one point over 400,000 people without power. By the time storms had passed, power lines, and trees were down, homes damaged, boats capsized at the Edgewater Marina. In Mentor, fire crews had to lift up a car after a motorist drove around a barricade and into some downed wires. In Parma Heights, the entire roof of an apartment complex on Kingsdale Blvd was ripped off. Other areas were hit pretty hard by afternoon storms.
