Akron police are investigating a shooting that left a 23 year old man dead early Sunday morning. around 2:15am, police responded to the 1800 block of Merriman Road for a report of a large crowd refusing to leave the parking lot of the Empire Lounge. On scene, officers heard gunshots coming from the adjacent McDonald’s parking lot. Responding officers located a male victim, identified as 23 year year old Diamond Fisk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There were many people at the scene, and Akron police are encouraging anyone who has any information to come forward. Call 330-375-2490. Currently, no additional information is available.
